Three, two, one…

Oh, hey there. If you’re reading this, chances are:

a) you’re my husband, just recently informed of my plans to start this blog;

b) you’re friends with me on Facebook and I reneged on my promise to keep this private until it’s up and running (naughty!); or

c) you found me somehow — in which case, do tell in the comments how and who you are, I’d love to stay in touch!

Either way, welcome!

You’re probably thinking, now I’ll go on and on about how I’ve been dreaming up this baby for months, years even. How my two big loves — of running and writing — have finally come together under their very own domain name, after decades of simmering quietly in that brain of mine.

But no. I do love running and I do love writing; the latter I’ve been doing professionally for the past 13 years. With a full time job and, for the past four years, a very active, fast-growing little boy, I’ve just never had the time to even think about it. If you’re a parent, runner – or both – you likely know exactly what I’m talking about, so no need for excuses there.

On running, racing, training, motherhood and big-time goals brewing: let’s kick off this baby and have fun!

        Um, would need to start running more. The first 14 miles of the ’06 marathon were so fun–and then, you were off like the running rock star you are! Actually, I thought of you this weekend–we were in D.C. and I went for a scenic run around the monuments. You would have loved it!
