About Me

BostonMarathonFinish
Hi. I’m Aleks Todorova, an RRCA Level II adult distance running coach, USATF Level I-certified coach, and a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM) in Silicon Valley, Calif.

I’m a mother, runner, and triathlete who has been living and loving the running life for 20+ years. I have coached runners of all levels, from those training for their first half marathon or coming back from injuries to complete a 5K or 10K, to runners training to run a BQ marathon or ultra marathon events.

My motto for myself and my athletes is “Train with Purpose, Race with Heart,” and my goal is to develop the ultimate smart, individualized training plan for your needs, based on your running history, schedule, strengths, and weaknesses.

my recent running history and goals

I completed my first triathlon in 2013; then somehow ended up doing four more before the season was over… and five more in 2014, including three at the 70.3 distance. In 2015, I continued my triathlon adventures with Ironman 70.3 Hawaii, Escape from Alcatraz, and my fifth marathon, where I qualified for Boston.

The Boston Marathon was a magical experience, and I firmly plan to return one day.

After Boston, I turned my athletic adventures back to triathlon, completing my first Ironman at Ironman Vineman in July 2017. Wow, that was an amazing experience!

In 2017, I tackled my sixth 70.3-distance triathlon at Ironman 70.3 Santa Cruz, where I placed 5th in my Age Group and took a qualifying spot for the 2018 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in South Africa.

I am not one of those runners who run a marathon each month. I believe that less is more. I believe in training with a purpose – then racing your heart out to reap the rewards of your hard work.

I hope these pages will give you some useful information from time to time, some smiles and, most of all, inspiration to go outside and play.

Thanks for reading!
